Speaking of Florida

While I'm thinking of Florida, turkey hunting extraordinaire Ray Eye posted some additional pics from our hunt with Hunter's Specialties, Winchester ammo and Cabela's. To check them out, click here.

Dougatwork_1 I couldn't help but pull a couple of pictures off of his site to highlight here, mainly the one to prove to the world (a.k.a. my bosses and my wife) that even when away from the office, I stay hard at work.

By the way, I have to give a shout out to my dear Mom on this one. Although I had my computer with me on the trip, I didn't have Web access. In order to get my posts online each day, I had to type them up, walk out to the one spot in the yard where I could get broken cell service and dictate the posts over the phone while she typed them out and uploaded them. One night the calls must have dropped every three or four minutes forcing me to call her at least 15 times just to get one post in.

Here's another. Check out his site for some better shots.

Umbrellacam_1 I have to award Ray Eye with the award for Best Use of an Umbrella since the Penguin. Take a $3 leopard print umbrella, strafe it with lines of green paint for an added camo effect, cut a lense-sized hole in it and voila, you have the perfect shield from behind which you can film a turkey hunt. That's Jonathan Harling with the NWTF, pre-Osceola.
