OK, Fatty, Time To Hit The Stairmaster

According to this, sportsmen are three times as likely to die from a heart attack than from an accidental gunshot wound while hunting. I would have thought that the risk of your ticker giving out were much higher.

When you look at the total number of hunters out there, very few are fatally shot. Even three times that number is still a pretty small number.

For what it's worth, I think they mean that being killed by a heart attack is 3 times more likely than getting killed by a bullet under any circumstance (not just hunting). Nonetheless, I read something like this a couple of years ago. It's no small thing - heart disease runs in my family and I want to make sure that I'm fit enough to come home everytime, whether I'm dragging a deer or just hiking out.
